A swim out suite kinda Christmas

Arriving late Christmas eve after a very long flight we were greeted by a welcoming staff with a drink in the beautiful lobby. At check in we upgraded to a swim up room for a reasonable fee, best decision we made. We are not the type to normally upgrade but since it was Christmas we thought why not? Once our upgrade was processed out butler came to greet us and bring us to our room 5512. Not only were we on the corner but the swim up roo has loungers in the pool and a deck ro relax on. Also included is room service 24 hrs, a fully stocked bar of beer, a number of hard alcohols mix and snacks. There is also wine and champagne for additional charge.

Able , our butler in building 55, was fantastic. He took care of our every need. Any issue, question or concern was met with prompt efficiency. His welcoming smile and great conversations added to a wonderful experience. We had some technical issues with out in room wifi (which is included by the way) and he made sure to have it looked at. If we needed water, more drinks or help with coordinating a tour he could make it happen!

Staying on this part of the resort allows for an adults only experience which is nice (we like kids, but when on vacation without kids it's nice to relax with adults) there are 4 resorts of different levels at the Grand Palladium, all look nice but staying at the royal suites Turquesa gives you the swim up room option, the adults only section which is exclusively for Royal Suites Turquesa including a swim up pool bar ( Elisaul is great fun at the swim up), private pool and an al la cart that only Royal Suites guests can use. There is an extensive selection of ala carts, one of the best things is that though you can make reservations you are not required to at any of them and you can go to as many as you like. The general buffet is really good too. We were here over Christmas to get our padi open water dive certificate , there is a dive Centre on site at the hotel, see my review of the dive Centre if you are coming for this purpose.

The beach is beautiful however as the coast is on the Atlantic Ocean it can be quite windy so be prepared, most days you can enjoy the beach but the yellow caution flag is normally out.

I travel extensively from backpacking to all inclusive and this is by far my most enjoyable all inclusive to date. If you are looking to relax enjoy the pool, beach, food and be treated very well (a butler at you call!) Then stay it the Royal Suites Turquesa! When we come back to Punta Cana we will come back, and will bring our friends next time!
